Farewell night 11 Sep

Farewell night 11 Sep

Farewell night was held on 11 September, 2009, Friday. This event combines all three uniformed groups: National Police Cadet Corps, St. John Ambulance Brigade and Girl Guides. For each individual CCA, we meet at a certain time to get ready for the final rehearsal of the performance that we have prepared for our seniors. We do not want to have any wrong and flaws in it as we wanted the performance to be perfect. After gathering everyone and the in-charges had taken the attendance, we have our delicious dinner at the canteen. We could hear the joy and happiness from the laughter.

After eating, we went up to the hall to begin our farewell night. Secondary 1 NPCC cadets had prepared a skit which is about their normal training. It was interesting as we could hear laughter from everyone.

Next, it was secondary 1 SJAB cadets dancing with the song, Just dance by Lady Ga Ga. They danced emotionally and are able to show the gratitude to their seniors.

Not forgetting secondary 1 girl guides, they sang ‘Last Christmas’ , it was so fantastic that everyone was so engrossed that they started to sing it along. Even though they had not been with the seniors for long, they are still able to be so devoted in their performance.

Secondary 2 NPCC cadets also performed a skit; it is about how they feel about seniors and also their co-coordinator. There are also some commercials which made everyone laughed so hard.

Secondary 2 SJAB cadets danced with all their best, from the songs from High School Musical.

Secondary 2 Girl Guides danced with passion and they were very enthusiastic and it was awesome.

Secondary 3 NPCC cadets prepared a video memento which consists of how they feel about their beloved seniors and many pictures of the seniors. It showed the gratitude for their seniors, which they have been with us, thick and thin for the past 3 years.

Secondary 3 SJAB cadets danced gracefully. Secondary 3 Girl Guides danced swiftly and expressively. For the ending, the three uniformed groups presented a video with lots of different photos of their seniors. It was quite heartwarming. Some of the seniors cried when they saw the messages.

For the last part, the juniors gave gifts that they had prepared for their seniors such as cookies, photo frames as a form of their deep down appreciations. The seniors gave cookies, cards, sweets to all their juniors .The teachers walked over to the seniors and gave them gifts and hoped that they can do well for their GCE ‘O’ and ‘N’ examinations .

Around 10 pm plus, the whole event had ended. Even though it has ended, there were a lot of photos taken for memory sake. It was fun and interesting as everyone, regardless of seniors or juniors, can bond together as one, for the last time. The seniors had actually already graduated during April 2009, Passing Out Parade. Even though our seniors had graduated, they are forever our seniors in our hearts. Once a senior, forever a senior, we shall never forget the laughter and joy that we shared with them and they had teach us a lot of stuffs they knew so that we will not repeat and make the same mistake again.

Some of us stayed overnight, and some of the seniors told us their past experiences. However, since their major examinations are coming, they are unable to talk to us for long as they need to revise for their examinations. But they took a lot of photos within themselves as they want to reminisce this unforgettable night.
